Period Balcony Design

This 1880's row house in DC originally had an iron balcony off the second floor.  The center window slid up completely and the lower panel opened to create full open doorway onto the balcony.  The location, number, and size of the supporting brackets and attachments (discovered when years of paint were removed from the brick), indicated the shape and size of the original balcony.
