1525 O Street NW is located in the Greater 14th Street Historic District. Designed and built by Robert Isaac Fleming in 1884 for real estate speculator Curtis J. Hillyer, it embodies many characteristics of the Victorian era, yet includes elements of the new Craftsman style with multi-lite upper window sashes.
